It is from the 1963 musical, No Strings, written by Richard Rodgers in his first musical written after the death of his longtime collaborator, Oscar Hammerstein. This musical is famous for casting interracial leads, Diahann Carroll and Richard Kiley, in a time when the civil rights movement was gaining momentum.
